Building Better Memory is suitable for people who have mild cognitive impairment, struggling with learning and concentrating, people with ADHD and people who know they have memory problems and want to improve.
Josephine will work with you by providing memory and learning strategies to improve functioning and wellbeing. Strategies include internal and external aids. The type of strategy will depend on your individual needs.
Sessions will also help you improve your chances of going well at exams, studying, and achievement.
The sessions will include:
Screening for trauma, depression, stress, anxiety to determine if that is the cause of cognitive impairment or memory impairment
Screening for memory impairment
A referral to a doctor or psychologist if another memory assessment is required
Internal and external strategies to assist with memory functioning
Counselling to improve depression, anxiety and/or stress if required
