Child, Adolescent & Youth Services - Prevention and Intervention Strategies
The child, adolescent and youth services are aimed to prevent challenging behaviour as well as improve social and emotional development. Services include cognitive, behavioural, social and emotional development through skills building and counselling for the children and young people; family therapy to improve the system within the family, communication and family interactions; and lastly, while children and young people's behaviour and emotional wellbeing together with the social system they live in is bidirectional, services also include helping staff at workplaces who care for them to ensure they provide a warm and supportive environment while understanding the children and young people's developmental trajectories and needs through education, mentoring and consulting.
Child, adolescent and youth services include counselling and psychotherapy to improve self-esteem, learning and achievement, ADHD, challenging behaviours, autism and social skills building.
Skills building includes social skills building to improve your child or young person's ability to make and keep friends, overcome bullying or stop bullying. Click on the button below to learn more. Skills building is also helpful for young people with autism and ADHD.
Child, adolescent and youth services also include in-service teacher training and parent training to improve capacity to manage behaviours, understand disorders, and improve relationships between child and adult. Also suitable for any organisations that support children and young people or have them.
Workplace - Your People. We will work with you to improve your workplace culture, team work, leadership skills, service management and program design to promote good mental health and prevent emotional and behavioural challenges in the child or young person in your care. Services implemented will be in line with the ACECQA National Quality Framework and other relevant Frameworks for your industry.
