Counselling and Psychotherapy in Hillside, Niddrie and Carlton
Josephine from jb Consulting and Psychology has helped clients improve their mental health. She has helped clients achieve change through therapeutic modalities and uses an individualised approach. Modalities include emotion-focused cognitive behaviour therapy, inner child work, visualisation, focusing and uses a person-centred approach.
Josephine provides her clients with a supportive environment to talk about challenges, helps them safely share their story, explore new opportunities, express and manage feelings and thoughts, identify their true self, and provides an opportunity for clients to identify solutions to problems by working in partnership with them.
During sessions Josephine teaches clients how to identify automatic unhelpful thoughts and how to modify them, how to manage emotions and use them as a guide through life, and also educates how to manage behaviour. She supports clients while on their journey and provides a different perspective to help clients learn and grow from past experience, heal from the past, as well as recognising their strengths so they can live a healthier and satisfying life.
Counselling is helpful for dealing with concerns in the here and now, while psychotherapy is helpful for dealing with past challenges that is influencing the here and now.
Josephine also provides counselling and psychotherapy to children and adolescents, especially for those that requires support with attention, hyperactive, impulsive and other challenging behaviours. Click here to find out more.

Each person has their own natural ability and resources to create change that will lead to growth. The counsellor facilitates the process for faster growth and long lasting change.
JB Consulting and Psychology uses the integrative approach to provide the best outcome for your individual needs. The integrative approach draws on the use of different counselling modalities to effectively create therapeutic change.
