Cognitive behaviour therapy focuses on the here and now while managing dysfunctional thoughts, emotions and behaviour.
Cognitive behaviour therapy heals through thoughts which influences mood and behaviour. You will learn to evaluate your thinking in a more realistic and adaptive way. You will learn to be aware of your unhelpful thoughts while out of the therapy room and share your challenges and successes in therapy.
Treatment includes developing a treatment plan, making collaborative decisions on goals, identifying and evaluating automatic thoughts and core beliefs, empty chair work, exposure to feared situations, role-playing and homework.
