Mental Health, Behaviour and Learning Intervention and Consulting (Children and Young People)
Helping children and young people have the best start in life through quality care by providing you with expert knowledge, guidance and intervention strategies to improve their behaviour, learning and mental health. Mental health includes social and emotional competence. Staff and family will have the support to improve the child's mental health, learning and behaviour which can prevent expulsion from the centre by improving problem behaviours. Josephine will work with you to improve your quality of care of children and young people you support, understand their individual needs and how to support their needs. She will also work with you to improve your staff's professional development, workplace culture and workplace values including philosophy of care. Services include:
Design a strategy to support the child/ren’s individual and developmental needs
Adjust the strategy based on the child/ren's individual needs including developmental needs
Monitor the work staff are doing for the child/ren
Teach and mentor staff to improve their quality of care when working with children
Parent and educator train to improve social and emotional competence and improve problem behaviour
Provide ongoing supervision to the staff
Educate parents about their child/ren’s individual and developmental needs
Revise and improve your quality improvement plan, standards and policies and procedures
Family focused and program focused strategies
Framework of JB Consulting and Psychology services include developing children’s social and emotional skills, preventing children’s challenging behaviours, preventing children’s mental health difficulties and connecting with the community, parents and carers.
Josephine will ensure that the services are aligned to your organisation's framework such as Victorian Early Years Learning and Development; Belonging, Being and Becoming; and My Time, Our Place.
