Child, Adolescent & Youth Social Skills Building | Interpersonal Behaviour Development
Josephine will support young people in their journey to learn how to connect with others, make and keep friends, empathise, perspective taking, solve interpersonal problems and more.
She will also help children and young people to manage their anxiety, thoughts and behaviour. Some people do well in social skills more easier than others, but it is a skill that can be taught well and a skill that will help young people learn to overcome bullying, teach the young person how to assert themselves and also how to stop from bullying others.
Sessions begin as one-to-one, is skills based and counselling can be included if there are past trauma or experiences getting in the way of building skills. Josephine encourages her clients to practice what they learn in sessions into their real life experiences. She also attends schools, childcare settings or other service providers to advocate for her clients, and help them understand how to support the young person. Parent training is also available so you can give your child or adolescent a lending hand.
Josephine works in Essendon and Hillside. She is also available in the evenings for after school hours and can be contacted on 0410 534 489 or [email protected]
