Unhealthy money behaviours can cause people to overspend, have a fear of spending, remain financially dependent on others, become a workaholic and pathological gambling.
The money behaviours come from dysfunctional thoughts about money, fears of not having enough, too concerned about financial success or too materialistic. It can can cause relationship issues, children to have fears of leaving home and the inability to save.
Disordered money behaviours can also come from past experiences where you were felt to believe that you were less important than money or material things.
Josephine will help you work through the thoughts, beliefs and feelings as well as teach you financial literacy. Financial literacy includes basic information on retirement planning, investments, cash flow, how to save, and set financial goals.
Josephine will also help you learn mindfulness to improve your ability to stay on track, manage your anxiety and improve awareness of thoughts, beliefs and feelings. Awareness is the first step to change.
The sessions are also helpful for young people who are too dependent on their parents and want to learn how to be more confident in managing money and to have a better relationship with money.
