Counselling and Psychotherapy for Children, Young People & Adults
Counselling and Psychotherapy in Niddrie and Carlton
Welcome to my counselling services where I have helped clients of all ages for over 7 years improve their mental health, interpersonal behaviour, social skills, ability to relate with self and others and manage conflict.
I helped clients achieve change through therapeutic modalities and use an individualised approach. Modalities include emotion-focused cognitive behaviour therapy, inner child work, visualisation, focusing and the person-centred approach.
I provide my clients with a supportive environment to talk about challenges, help them safely share their story, explore new opportunities, express and manage feelings and thoughts, and provide an opportunity for clients to identify solutions to problems by working in partnership with them.
I am also a trauma specialist meaning that I listen to what my clients have gone through, respect their story, their journey in life, and work with them to heal from past experiences and grow. I collaboratively work together with my clients to work through goals and approach to healing.
Some clients may require counselling only as it is helpful for dealing with concerns in the here and now, while others need psychotherapy as it is helpful for dealing with past challenges that is influencing the here and now. Some both.
I also provide counselling and psychotherapy to children, young people and provide family therapy. I support clients with attention, hyperactive, impulsive and other challenging behaviours as well as those with ADHD. Click here to find out more.

Our philosophy is that the relationship between the client and counsellor underpins successful therapeutic change.
Each person has their own natural ability and resources to create change that will lead to growth. The counsellor facilitates the process for faster growth and long lasting change.
JB Consulting and Psychology uses the integrative approach to provide the best outcome for your individual needs. The integrative approach draws on the use of different counselling modalities to effectively create therapeutic change.
